On July 13, researchers from the University of California and other institutions published a study on discovering new tyrosinase inhibitors from various natural sources in Frontiers, and identified novel MNP tyrosinase inhibitors from seafood cyanobacteria and algae.
Tyrosinase is the main enzyme that produces melanin in the body, and its production mechanism is as shown below. The new tyrosinase inhibitors discovered in this study and a series of subsequent studies on their structure, inhibitory characteristics and inhibitory methods may create new skin whitening ingredients, or provide new ideas for the application of adjuvant therapy in melanoma cancer treatment.
